The
Chorus is always seeking new members. We believe in the power
of music to inspire and foster a stronger faith in God. We
believe in the power of music to entertain as well. We believe
in the power of music that allows us and the audience to share their
blessings with those in need. We invite you to consider
joining us. No audition is required — just a love of music and
a willingness to share your voice with others and to rehearse with
us on Sunday afternoons and to sing the concerts. Send an

The chorus members pay a nominal
$20.00 fee per season to help with costs associated with operating
KCMMC which is a 501c3 not for profit organization.
Our
dress code for performances is black pants with white long sleeve
shirt and burgundy tie (cost $10.00). All monies
from donations and freewill offerings are collected in behalf of
local charities. The concert hosts select the charities with the
most common being food pantries and kitchens as well as metro-wide
charities that aid the poor and needy.
Our membership comes from 20
communities in the greater Kansas City area from as far North as
Lexington, South to Harrisonville, East to Pleasant Hill, and West
to Lenexa. Our director, Noel
Fulkerson (who donates his time), is an accomplished musician and superb teacher of vocal
music. Our only requirement is that each member make 4 of the 6
rehearsals prior to a concert. Rehearsals are each 2 hours
long. Members of the Chorus enjoy some wonderful music and
great fellowship. The Chorus has an average participation at
each performance of 75 to 80 members.
The Chorus is led by a
nine
member board elected by the membership and is incorporated as a 501
C3 nonprofit organization. This allows the receipt of tax free
contributions. |
